September 29, four foreign teachers of ATC were invited to attend the National Day Banquet, which is hosted by Anhui provincial government to appreciate the foreign experts in Anhui province.

After the invited foreign experts visited Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in the afternoon, they attended the National Day Banquet at Daoxianglou Hotel. Dozens of foreign teachers working in Anhui province gathered together to celebrate the 60 th Anniversary of New China, to recollect the fast development of Anhui province in these years. The banquet is also the “Huangshan Frienship Award” Ceremony. which is the highest award issued by the provincial government for the foreign experts who made outstanding contribution to Anhui province. Esther Snader, one of our foreign teachers, has won the award in 2001 and 2004.

Mr. Wang Sanyun, the governer, attended the banquet and made important speech, appreciating the great contribution made by the foreign experts for Anhui 's development.
