Experts from Salisbury visit ATC, stress bilateral cooperation

On sep.26 th , the experts from one of our sister schools, Salisbury University , visited our school and discussed about further cooperation issues. The experts are Dr. Dennis Pataniczek, Dr. Douglas Dewitt from Liberal Art Department , Dr. Deborah Matthews, the dean of Social Work Department and Dr. Sam Song, the dean of English Language Department.
On the morning of Sep.27 th , the heads of Foreign Affairs Office, Academic Administration, School of Education , School of Foreign Languages and School of Humanity held a seminar of cooperation with our American guests led by Dr. Dennis. Both sides confirmed the success and achievement which have already been made. Dr. Dennis said the two exchange students from our school exhibited the spirit of diligence and excellent academic performance in Liberal Art Department of Salisbury. Hans Pan, head of Foreign Affairs Office, also briefed the experts on study and life of Daniel and Blake, the two exchange students from Salisbury . Both sides hoped to extend the exchange in student majors and numbers as well as focus on how to make further cooperation.
Heads of School of Education , Foreign Languages and Humanity from ATC expressed the idea of joint teaching programs in the mode of “2 plus 2” or “3 plus 1” with Salisbury , in which Dr. Dennis also showed great interest. After discussion and consultation, both sides came to consistency over joint programs. The priority of next phase of cooperation is to smooth the bridging courses, with the details needed to be negotiated.
After the seminar, Dr. Dennis agreed to conduct teacher exchange with ATC in many other majors, which was a great breakthrough for both sides.
During the visit, the experts held teaching seminars with School of Education , Humanity and Foreign Languages. They also delivered impressive lectures, which were of great success and acceptance. Accompanied by the staff from Foreign Affairs Office, Dr. Dennis and other experts visited both Old and New campuses, which earned tremendous appreciation from the guests for its long history and beautiful environment.
