March 29, 2008, Second Synchronous Seminar on Leapfrog Development of Chinese and American Education co-held by School of Education of ATC and College of Education and Human Development of UMN. Prof. Wang Haiyan, Vice President of ATC, attended the seminar and made a speech. She appreciated the exchange way of synchronous seminar and the cooperation progress of the two institutions. Prof. Wang hoped the cooperative field can be enlarged to the exchange of teachers and students, benefiting them with the eastern and western cultural difference.

The seminar is presided by Prof. Cao Changde and Prof. Harkins. The theme of the seminar is the application of Leapfrog development in teachers training. Seven professors of the two sides and Dr. Song Hongzhuan of ICED presented the main idea of their proposed papers, discussed relative academic view and answered other attendees' questions.

At last, the two sides reached the agreement on the next seminar's time and theme.
