On Sunday, March 23 rd “A Fun with English” activity took place at the Yanjiang Primary School organized and conducted by Stephen Chappell (Oral English teacher of ATC) and several members of the English Lovers Association (ELA).The focus of the activity was to introduce the western festival of Easter and some Olympic vocabulary. About sixty-five students were selected in advance to participate in the event. The children were very enthusiastic and well prepared by their teachers. The event is filmed by Anqing TV for later broadcast. Activities included drawing and painting eggs, learning and singing songs and playing a variety of games. Prizes were awarded for the best egg designs. All in all it was a big success and the students left with smiles on their faces. It is hoped that a similar activity can be put on for Children's Day in June. Such events are a good way for our college to reach out and show its presence in the community.
