On Oct.8 th 2008, Dr Christoph Strutz, vice president of Hildesheim University of Germany, Prof. Matthias Kruse, Dean of the Music Departant and Madam Elke Sasse-Pleige, director of Foreign Affairs, visited our college to sign officially Cooperation Protocol between the two institutions. Mr. Zhao Xiaohe, Party Secretary of ATC, welcomed Dr. Christoph Strut and his fellows. Vice presidents: Mr. Shi Xingzhong, Mr. Zhang Qun, and Ms. Yin Hong, Discipline, Dr. Liu Youzhong, Director of Foreign Affairs Office attended the welcome meeting. Mr. Zhao briefly introduced our college's history and recent development to the Germans guests and expressed our sincere hope to co-operate with them. Though it was the very first time for Dr. Strutz to come to China , our warm welcome had already made them feel at home. There are 130 International co-operate schools in Hildesheim University , but Anqing Normal University is the first Chinese college building relationship with it. We have many things in common which laid a solid foundation for our co-operation. Mr. Zhao felt very happy that we could be the first partner in China for Hildesheim University , he hoped that we could have other co-operation in other fields in the near future as well.

Afterwards, the protocol signing ceremony was held in our college. Prof. Zhang Qun and Dr. Strutz signed the document on behalf of each school respectively and they had reached an agreement on the next co-operation programme. Dr Strutz said singing the document is just the beginning. What matters is our future co-operation, and we had already made many substantial developments. Prof. Zhang hoped that we could take this opportunity to learn from each other, further our co-operation, and enlarge the cooperation areas. He hoped that we could make even bigger achievements in sending exchange students and teachers together with exchange of academics. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Liu Youzhong. Deans of Schools of Musics, School of Huang Mei Opera , School of Foreign languages, and Directors of Publicity Department and Academic Research Department had participated in the signing ceremony.

During their stay, Prof. Kruse held a workshop with the faculties of School of Music . Dr. Christoph Strutz and Madam Elke Sasse-Pleige also joined in the English Corner held by the School of Foreign Languages , having friendly interactions with English Lovers of our college. （ Translated by Chai Youlin ）
