From 8th to 12th, April, President Zhu ShiQun leading 6-person delegation visited Salisbury University . Vice President Diane Lara Allen, on behalf of Salisbury University , welcomed the delegation warmly. Two universities held constructive conversations with such problems as cooperation in current programs, talent cultivation and faculty construction, and reached further cooperation intentions.
On the afternoon of 10th, April, the delegation arrived at Salisbury University , attended the welcome party held by Salisbury University . During the toast, President Zhu pointed out the importance to further promote existing programs, search and expand new cooperation opportunities, and reached broad consensus with Salisbury University .
On April 11th, the deans of four schools of ANU attended specific meeting with liberal arts department, business department, and science department. The talks were to further specify details and questions of programs like 3+1 Business English, 2+2 International Business and Trade, 2+2 Microelectronics and so on, and to reach agreements in cooperation and talent-cultivating plans. In addition, two sides also carried on communicating on a series of cooperation programs like Summer English Training, English Majors studying for master's degrees in US, access to MBA, exchange students, distance education, exchange teachers and so on and so forth.
After that, two universities held a summary and feedback meeting, during which President Zhu expressed his satisfaction of the results of the talks. He said he would take more effective measures to ensure that the realization of the expected plans and training goals, and the demonstrating and leading role of the first cooperation class. ANU would support the cooperation programs with sufficient resource allocation and finance. President Zhu also brought out that more attention and support should be given to the competitive majors of the liberal arts. Vice President Diane Lara Allen of SU also expressed the hope in expanding cooperation in various fields and multi-levels, and wanted to further the communication and cooperation.
On the trip to Salisbury university, the delegation had visited the library, art building, school of liberal arts, school of education, school of business, school of science, students center, cafeteria and the exchange teachers and students from ANU who are studying in Salisbury university.
