March 30, 2012 , Myrrl Byler and Jeanette Hanson, two directors of Mennonite Partners in China (MPC) visited the university. MPC has established long time friendship and cooperation with ANU, by providing us two or more qualified foreign teachers every year. Esther Snader and Dave Eby, the two excellent foreign teachers of our university, were recommended by MPC. Thanks to their diligence, the self-sacrifice and selfishless love for students, Esther Snader rewarded “Huangshan Friendship Award” twice of Anhui Province , and they both received Honor Certificate of Anqing City.
Myrrl Byler and Jeanette Hanson visited the two foreign teachers, and expressed their appreciation to the Foreign Affairs Office for the care of them. The other purpose of their visit is to enlarge the cooperation field with ANU. They offered two practicable programs. One is to help the graduates, who are willing to pursue their master degree abroad, to be accepted by their partner universities; the other is short-time visiting scholar training program. Jeanette Hanson also met Mr. Zhu Zhongyan, the vice dean of School of Foreign Languages to learn about the foreign teachers' teaching.
